Job summary

Andy File Associates Limited is recruiting a Senior Electrical Estimator to lead the pre-construction tender function in Sheffield. You will prepare competitive estimates, review technical documentation and drive value engineering while mentoring junior estimators.

The role offers a salary up to £55,000, a car allowance, Bupa healthcare, group life insurance and a company pension. It is a permanent, 37.5-hour week with progression opportunities within a growing FM provider.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience estimating electrical building services projects.
• Strong understanding of electrical building services systems.
• Knowledge of Building Regulations and British Standards.
• Experience using estimating software and Microsoft Office.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Ability to manage multiple tenders and meet deadlines.
• Excellent numerical, analytical and commercial skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare accurate electrical estimates from first principles.
• Review tender documentation and prepare submissions.
• Develop value engineering opportunities for tenders.
• Negotiate supplier and subcontractor quotes to improve competitiveness.
• Mentor and support junior estimators within the team.
• Maintain estimating databases and pricing information.
