Job summary

300 North Limited in Sheffield, South Yorkshire, is seeking a Senior Electrical Estimator to lead electrical building services tenders from enquiry through to submission and handover.

The role requires taking ownership of your workload, reviewing drawings, specifications and Employer's Requirements, and collaborating with Design, Commercial, Procurement and Operations teams to deliver competitive, robust estimates.

Qualifications

• Significant experience estimating electrical building services projects.
• Ability to work independently and manage your own workload.
• Experience preparing estimates from first principles.
• Strong technical knowledge of electrical building services systems.
• Good understanding of drawings, specifications and technical documentation.
• Understanding of construction tendering and procurement processes.
• Strong commercial and numerical ability.
• Experience obtaining and analysing subcontractor and supplier quotations.
• Ability to manage multiple tenders and deadlines.
• Experience using electrical estimating software.
• Full UK Driving Licence.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed electrical estimates from first principles.
• Own tenders from enquiry through to final submission.
• Review drawings, specifications, Employer's Requirements and contract docs.
• Produce detailed cost plans, pricing schedules and tender submissions.
• Carry out accurate take-offs and assess labour, material and subcontract requirements.
• Identify project risks and commercial opportunities during tendering.
• Obtain, analyse and negotiate supplier and subcontractor quotations.
• Attend pre-tender meetings, site surveys and client meetings as required.
• Work with Design, Commercial, Procurement and Operations teams.
• Maintain accurate estimating data, supplier pricing and cost history.
