Job summary

MARCH is seeking a Senior Electrical Estimator in Burton upon Trent to drive high-quality bids and commercial success for critical engineering projects. You will act as the main client contact during the bid process and translate drawings into accurate estimates for review and submission.

The role requires a strong electrical background in Building Services (MEP), experience with estimating software, and the ability to read drawings and specs.

Qualifications

• Experience in building services (MEP) electrical estimating.
• Ability to read electrical drawings, schematics and specs.
• Proven negotiation and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Highly organised with meticulous attention to detail.
• Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel).
• Full UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Acting as the main point of contact between MARCH and clients throughout the bid process
• Reviewing tender drawings and preparing accurate quantity take-offs
• Issuing enquiries to the supply chain and evaluating returned quotations
• Building detailed cost estimates using estimating software
• Supporting value engineering and innovative bid solutions
• Managing risk in line with commercial policy
• Preparing and presenting bids for internal approval and client submission
• Producing final tender documentation
• Supporting contract reviews, negotiations, and governance processes
• Managing contract terms, warranties, and obligations
• Contributing to commercial strategy and margin improvement

We’re looking for a Senior Electrical Estimator to join our growing team in Burton upon Trent. This is a great opportunity to play a key role in delivering high-quality bids and driving commercial success within a leading engineering business.

Key Responsibilities:

• Acting as the main point of contact between MARCH and clients throughout the bid process
• Reviewing tender drawings and preparing accurate quantity take-offs

• Strong communication and negotiation skills
• Highly organised with excellent attention to detail
• Confident working across teams and influencing stakeholders
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel)
• Full UK driving license
