Job summary

Heated Mechanical Services is seeking a Senior Electrical Estimator to join their Dartford-based team. This role focuses on preparing accurate and commercially competitive estimates and tenders for electrical building services projects.

You will collaborate with pre-construction, commercial, design and project teams to ensure tenders are thoroughly reviewed, priced correctly and submitted by deadlines. The position offers a path to a senior role within an established estimating team.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as an Electrical Estimator or Senior Electrical Estimator.
• Strong technical knowledge of electrical building services.
• Experience estimating commercial building services projects.
• Ability to interpret electrical drawings, specifications and tender documentation.
• Strong understanding of labour, material, plant and subcontractor costs.
• Experience producing detailed and competitive tenders.
• Excellent commercial awareness and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and negotiation skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tenders and deadlines effectively.
• Good IT skills, particularly Microsoft Excel and relevant estimating software.
• Professional, proactive and organised approach.

Responsibilities

• Produce accurate material, labour, plant and subcontractor costs.
• Obtain and assess quotations from suppliers and specialist subcontractors.

• Liaise with suppliers, subcontractors, clients and consultants throughout the tender process.
• Work closely with design and pre-construction teams to develop cost-effective electrical solutions.
• Attend tender meetings and site visits where required.
• Ensure tenders are completed accurately and submitted within agreed deadlines.
• Identify opportunities for value engineering and cost savings.
• Maintain accurate estimating records.
• Assist with the successful handover of projects to the commercial and project teams.

The Role

As a Senior Electrical Estimator, you will be responsible for preparing accurate and commercially competitive estimates and tenders for a range of electrical building services projects.
