Job summary

AECOM is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to join the Water Team across the North and Midlands with a flexible hybrid layout. You will lead electrical design, review ICA elements, and collaborate with teams to deliver high-quality water infrastructure projects.

Strong background in water sector design, Chartered status, and able to mentor junior staff are key. The role offers hybrid working options and opportunities across major UK water clients.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in the design of water and wastewater deliverables with multi-disciplinary knowledge, including treatment schemes.
• BEng or MEng in a related engineering field with water/wastewater experience.
• Chartered (or near Chartered) Member of a relevant Professional Institution.
• Proven experience at a senior engineer level in a consultancy within the water sector.
• Experience managing projects, delegating tasks and mentoring.

Responsibilities

• Design and review electrical/ICA elements for water/wastewater projects.
• Coordinate with client, contractors and suppliers; perform site surveys.
• Engage in all design stages from feasibility to construction design.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams across the UK and mentor junior staff.
• Support bids and client deliverables, ensuring quality and timeliness.
