Job summary

AECOM is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to join the Water Team with opportunities to be based across our North and Midlands offices in Birmingham, Chesterfield, Leeds and Manchester, while benefiting from a flexible hybrid working model.

You’ll lead electrical design for water and wastewater projects, mentor junior staff, and contribute to bids and client deliverables. The role involves coordinating with multiple disciplines and ensuring delivery within budget and schedule.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in the design of water and wastewater engineering deliverables with multi-disciplinary knowledge.
• Degree in engineering with relevant water sector experience and Chartered status or near Chartered.
• Experience managing projects, delegating tasks and mentoring others.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and review of electrical elements for water infrastructure projects.
• Mentor junior staff and coordinate multidisciplinary teams across sites.
• Engage in feasibility, outline, detail and construction design stages and bid support.
• Ensure deliverables meet client requirements, standards and budgets.
