Job summary

Stantec is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to support our growth plans in Scotland. You will deliver electrical and EICA designs for Scottish Water projects, taking ownership from concept through construction support.

The role is based in Edinburgh or Glasgow with flexible hybrid working. You will develop and verify deliverables such as single-line diagrams and control philosophies, collaborate with project managers, clients and design teams, and help mentor junior engineers while

Qualifications

Degree qualified in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
Chartered Engineer (CEng) or Incorporated Engineer (IEng), or actively working towards registration.
Experience delivering electrical or EICA design within the water, utilities, or heavy infrastructure.
Ability to take ownership of technical design packages across complex projects.
Knowledge of electrical engineering standards and UK regulatory frameworks.
Strong communication, teamwork, and client-facing skills.
Experience mentoring graduate and junior engineers.

Responsibilities

Deliver electrical and EICA designs across water and wastewater projects.
Take ownership of design packages from concept through construction support.
Develop, review, and verify key deliverables like SLDs, Cable Diagrams, Network Diagrams, specifications, and control philosophies.
Collaborate with project managers, clients, contractors, and design teams.
Guide early-career engineers and promote innovation and best practice.
