Job summary

A Senior Electrical Engineer is sought to join AECOM’s Water Team and help shape electrical design for water and wastewater infrastructure across the UK. The role supports multiple sites including Birmingham, Chesterfield, Leeds, and Manchester, with a flexible hybrid working model.

You’ll engage in design, bid support, and project delivery, mentoring junior staff, and delivering designs that meet national and international standards while collaborating with cross‑discipline teams and clients

Qualifications

• Proven experience in the design of water and wastewater engineering deliverables.
• Experience working at a senior engineer level in a consultancy within the water sector.
• Chartered (or near Chartered) with a relevant Professional Institution.

Responsibilities

• Electrical design and review of electrical and ICA elements in water/wastewater projects.
• Engage in all design stages and ensure compliance with design standards.
• Bid support and client liaison to understand needs and deliverables.
• Deliver high-quality designs within budgets and timescales, mentoring junior staff.
