Job summary

MDE Group in London is seeking a Senior Electrical Design Engineer to support solar PV and battery storage initiatives. You will deliver electrical design packages from development through construction and commissioning, collaborating with project teams to tackle technical challenges.

The role emphasizes detailed design work, cross-functional coordination and adherence to standards, with hybrid working in London.

Qualifications

• Relevant electrical engineering degree required.
• Experience in electrical design and project delivery, preferably in solar PV or battery storage.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD and simulation tools (PVsyst, DIgSILENT) desirable.

Responsibilities

• Produce and review electrical designs, specifications and calculations for solar PV and battery storage projects.
• Develop LV and MV designs, including equipment selection, protection coordination and earthing.
• Prepare drawings and technical requirements for control, monitoring and SCADA systems.
• Coordinate engineering deliverables with internal teams, suppliers and contractors.
• Support tender submissions, technical evaluations and equipment procurement.
• Review factory and site acceptance testing requirements.
• Ensure designs meet applicable standards and project requirements.
