Job summary

MDE Consultants Ltd seeks an Electrical Supervisor to lead on UK-wide utility-scale solar, battery, and substation projects. You will manage teams of electricians, ensure works are installed, tested and commissioned safely to high standards.

Preferred candidates have 5+ years’ electrical experience, NVQ3, ECS Gold Card, and 18th Edition, plus ability to read electrical drawings and supervise onsite work across multiple sites.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 electrical qualification or equivalent.
• ECS Gold Card and 18th Edition.
• Inspection and testing qualification such as 2391 or 2392.
• At least five years electrical experience on utility scale or industrial projects.

Responsibilities

• Supervising electrical installation, testing and maintenance on utility scale solar, battery and substation projects.
• Leading electricians and technicians on site with emphasis on safety and quality.
• Overseeing installation of inverters, battery systems, LV panels and transformers.
• Carrying out inspections, testing, fault finding and corrective actions.
• Reading drawings and schematics to plan work.
• Coordinating with project managers, engineers and client to keep work on track.
• Completing daily/weekly progress reports and handling materials.
• Mentoring junior electricians and technicians.
