Job summary

GDM, a leading building services design consultancy based in London, is seeking a Senior Electrical Design Engineer who excels in teamwork and communication. You will lead electrical engineering projects, coordinating with internal and external teams to deliver integrated, high-quality designs.

You will take ownership of workstreams, develop calculations and reports, and contribute to project proposals and client presentations while mentoring junior staff.

Qualifications

• Degree in Electrical/Building Services Engineering or equivalent.
• Previous building services design experience, ideally in commercial environments.
• Proven client-facing experience delivering projects from concept to completion.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage electrical engineering projects to meet timelines, budgets and quality.
• Identify and interpret client requirements, agree project briefs and manage throughout lifecycle.
• Coordinate with other disciplines to deliver integrated designs.
• Produce electrical design reports and drawings, and perform calculations.
• Present design proposals to clients and project teams.
• Mentor and guide less experienced team members.
