Job summary

Masdar seeks a Senior Electrical Engineer to lead electrical design and grid integration for the UK Battery Energy Storage System portfolio, with involvement in global offshore wind projects. This role interfaces with development, construction, procurement and external stakeholders to ensure compliant, cost-effective solutions.

The candidate should have strong experience in power systems, HV design, and DNO/TO engagement, with a track record of delivering complex renewable energy infrastructure.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering required.
Master’s degree is an asset for advanced design work.
Chartered Engineer status (e.g. IET, EUR Ing) desirable for senior role.

Responsibilities

Support grid connection design and project delivery for UK BESS and global offshore wind.
Coordinate with internal teams and external stakeholders (DNOs/TOs, contractors) on electrical design and HV components.
Review, verify and approve electrical designs, calculations, drawings, and test procedures.
Prepare technical inputs for RFPs, tenders, and EPC contracts in alignment with Masdar standards.
