Job summary

Kier Group is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to lead electrical installation activities within our Southern Water framework in Chichester/Falmer/Chatham. The role focuses on safe, efficient on-site leadership across water and wastewater projects, coordinating supervisors, subcontractors and the supply chain while ensuring designs, programmes and quality standards are met.

Qualifications

• Demonstrable experience leading and supervising electrical installations on medium to large industrial, water, wastewater or process-sector projects.
• Strong practical knowledge of electrical installation, inspection, testing, commissioning and safe isolation requirements.
• Ability to interpret electrical system drawings, specifications and other technical documentation.
• Competence in reviewing and applying RAMS, safe systems of work, permit arrangements, inspection and test plans, quality records and handover documentation.
• Working knowledge of CDM regulations, relevant legislation, WIMES specifications and Southern Water mechanical & electrical design standards
• Full driving licence

Responsibilities

• Leading and coordinating daily electrical installation activities with supervisors, subcontract labour and suppliers.
• Reviewing and interpreting electrical drawings, specifications and technical submittals, escalating design or constructability issues promptly.
• Ensuring compliance with approved RAMS, safe systems of work, permit requirements and relevant legislation.
• Providing visible leadership for health, safety, environment, quality and wellbeing, promoting continuous improvement.
• Monitoring works and quality, ensuring inspections, test plans and documentation are completed accurately.
