Job summary

EXPEDITE RECRUITMENT SERVICES LIMITED is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to design sustainable electrical systems across sectors and lead projects from concept to completion.

You will communicate directly with clients, build lasting relationships, and work with our in-house sustainability team to deliver integrated solutions while mentoring junior engineers as the business grows.

Qualifications

• 5+ years’ UK building services consultancy experience.
• Strong background in electrical design (lighting, power, containment, fire alarms, etc.).
• Chartered or working toward chartership (CIBSE/IET).
• Client-facing with project leadership and delivery responsibility.

Responsibilities

Senior Electrical Engineer – Building Services & Sustainability

Central Bristol | Full-time, Permanent

We’re working with a young, ambitious Building Services and Sustainability consultancy based in the heart of Bristol. Just two years in, they are already 13 strong and working on some of the region’s most exciting projects – from large-scale student accommodation to boutique residential, industrial, heritage, science parks, office refurbishments and energy infrastructure.

They’re now looking for a Senior Electrical Engineer to join a close-knit team and play a key role in shaping the future of the company – and your own career.

What you’ll be doing

• Designing efficient, sustainable electrical systems for a wide variety of sectors.
• Leading projects from concept through to completion, with the autonomy to make your mark.
• Meeting and communicating directly with clients, helping build strong and lasting relationships.
• Working closely with the in-house sustainability team to deliver integrated solutions.
• Supporting and mentoring junior engineers as the business continues to grow.

Who we’re looking for?

• A confident, client-facing engineer with 5+ years’ UK building services consultancy experience.
• Strong technical background in electrical design (lighting, power, containment, fire alarms, etc.).
• Passionate about sustainability, low-energy design, and future-focused engineering.
• Comfortable taking the lead on projects and managing multiple priorities.
• Chartered or working toward chartership (CIBSE/IET).
