Job summary

NES Fircroft is seeking a Lead Electrical Engineer to oversee electrical scopes on challenging projects in the Aberdeen area. The role requires leadership of an engineering team, strong technical knowledge, and adherence to budgets, schedules, and quality standards.

The ideal candidate has offshore experience, relevant certifications, and a degree in Electrical Engineering. The position is hybrid, based in Aberdeen City Centre, and supports tender activities with technical input.

Qualifications

Offshore Oil & Gas experience is required.
Valid offshore certification such as BOSIET and MIST (or equivalent) is required.
Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in Electrical Engineering.
Strong technical background with extensive electrical engineering expertise.
Experience selecting and applying relevant codes, standards and regulatory requirements.
Proven ability to lead and coordinate electrical engineering teams within a project environment.
Knowledge of electrical system design/analysis including power system studies.

Responsibilities

Lead and execute electrical engineering activities across assigned project scopes, ensuring technical excellence and compliance with project requirements.
Act as the discipline focal point, providing technical direction and oversight to the electrical engineering team.
Maintain regular communication with clients, project management, and other disciplines.
Allocate, supervise, and review work to ensure timely delivery and efficient resource use.
Maintain project plans, progress updates, cost control, estimates, and schedules.
