Job summary

Northcote M&E is seeking a Senior Electrical Design Engineer to take ownership of electrical design from concept to completion on a range of building services projects. The role offers leadership of small teams, design of lighting, power, LV distribution, fire alarm and security systems, and direct client liaison.

The position is based near Buckinghamshire with a pathway to progression to senior levels, including an option for full remote work for a central London candidate.

Qualifications

• 6+ years UK building services consultancy design experience.
• Confident using Amtech or ProDesign.
• Strong working knowledge of BS 7671 and CIBSE guidance.
• IEng or CEng, or working towards it, is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Lead electrical design from concept through to completion.
• Design small power, lighting, containment, LV distribution, fire alarm and security systems.
• Mentor and support junior engineers.
• Deal directly with clients, architects and contractors.
