Job summary

ATA Recruitment Ltd is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer in Caldicot, South Wales. The role offers a £55,000 - £66,000 salary plus a 5% annual bonus, matched pension up to 8%, and Agile working with hybrid options.

You will lead electrical engineering activities across multiple projects and mentor a small team in a global engineering environment. Key responsibilities include developing control philosophies, performing electrical calculations, and coordinating with suppliers and partners.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in electrical design and project engineering.

Responsibilities

• Lead electrical engineering activities on complex capital equipment projects.
• Develop control philosophies from P&ID documentation.
• Produce electrical calculations including cable sizing, motor sizing, heat loss and intrinsic safety calculations.
• Creating I/O schedules and electrical specifications.
• Specifying instrumentation, PLC hardware and electrical equipment.
• Reviewing and approving technical documentation and engineering designs.
• Liaising with suppliers, vendors and manufacturing partners.
• Mentoring and developing junior engineers.
• Managing technical workload allocation and project priorities.
