Job summary

ATA Recruitment Ltd is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer in Caldicot, South Wales. You will take ownership of complex electrical design and lead projects while mentoring a small team of engineers and designers in a global engineering environment.

The role offers a salary of £55,000–£66,000 plus 5% bonus, matched pension up to 8%, Agile working and hybrid hours. You will contribute to water, marine and industrial process sectors with long-term growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in electrical design and project engineering.
• Ability to interpret customer specifications and technical documentation.
• Experience working with industrial control systems.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.

Responsibilities

• Leading electrical engineering activities on complex capital equipment projects.
• Developing control philosophies from P&ID documentation.
• Producing electrical calculations including cable sizing and motor sizing.
• Creating I/O schedules and electrical specifications.
• Specifying instrumentation, PLC hardware and electrical equipment.
• Reviewing and approving technical documentation and designs.
• Mentoring junior engineers and allocating workload.
