Job summary

Suir Engineering Ltd in Stockport, UK, is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to join its EP&R sector. You will design, develop, and maintain electrical control systems for large-scale projects, focusing on safety, reliability and sustainability.

Based in our Stockport office, you will lead schematic development, HV studies, commissioning, risk assessments, and coordinating with clients and the design team. Travel to Northern sites is required.

Qualifications

• A third level degree in Electrical Engineering with 2+ years' experience working as an Electrical Project Engineer in the HV Energy and Renewable Sector.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to prioritise workload according to deadlines with high attention to detail.
• Ability to influence colleagues at all levels.
• Travel to sites in Northern region.

Responsibilities

• Develop and review schematic drawings and single line diagrams.
• Perform HV system studies including protection coordination and fault level reports.
• Carry out pre-commissioning and commissioning of GIS and AIS substations.
• Ensure compliance with project safety requirements.
• Provide detailed design for high and low voltage equipment and control systems.
• Coordinate with clients and design teams on technical issues.
• Prepare program using MS Project and manage on-site engineering tasks.
