Job summary

Suir Engineering Ltd is seeking a Senior Electric(al) Engineer to join our UK EP&R sector, based at the Kilmarnock project with coverage across Scotland. You will lead the design, development and commissioning of electrical control systems, ensuring safety, reliability and quality throughout the project lifecycle.

The role requires a 3rd level degree in Electrical Engineering and 2+ years of experience in HV energy/renewables.

Qualifications

• Third level degree in Electrical Engineering.
• 2+ years' experience as Electrical Project Engineer in HV Energy and Renewables.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to prioritise workload with attention to detail.
• Willingness to travel to sites in Scotland region.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain electrical control systems and components.
• Develop HV system studies including protection coordination, arc flash, voltage regulation, load flow and fault level reports.
• Pre-commissioning and commissioning of GIS and AIS Substations.
• Liaise with clients and design team; manage on-site electrical engineering issues.
• Prepare programs using MS Project; monitor progress and report status.
• Prepare method statements and risk assessments and assist with documentation.
