Job summary

Certain Advantage is partnering with a key client to recruit a Senior Electrical Engineer for a major dockyard facility in the UK. You will work with the client to gather requirements and provide electrical engineering expertise, delivering designs and upgrades across LV/HV networks and distribution.

The role involves end-to-end project involvement from concept through commissioning, with emphasis on safety, compliance with IEC/IEEE standards, and the ability to sign off on technical documents.

Qualifications

• Experience in highly regulated sectors (nuclear, maritime, infrastructure, or oil and gas).
• Strong background in design, modification, and scoping of electrical systems (LV/HV, lighting, power distribution).
• Understanding of IEC/IEEE electrical standards and safety regulations.

Responsibilities

• Gather requirements and deliver electrical engineering expertise.
• Define project scope, develop designs, and recommend upgrades or new systems.
• Participate in full lifecycle from concept to delivery, commissioning, support.
• Review and sign off technical documents for safety and regulatory compliance.
