Job summary

Matchtech's London-based client is seeking a Mid/Senior Electrical Designer to join their Kingston upon Thames team. The role covers feasibility studies, detailed design, calculations and documentation for challenging infrastructure projects across ports, harbours and container terminals in the UK and abroad.

You will collaborate with clients and multidisciplinary teams, handle design assurance, respond to site queries, and contribute to testing and commissioning.

Qualifications

• Experience in electrical design for large-scale infrastructure projects such as ports, harbours or terminals.
• Strong understanding of LV/HV distribution, utility networks and resilience strategies.
• Proficiency with Amtech, Trimble, ETAP, Dialux, AutoCAD and Revit.
• Experience producing technical calculations, reports and design documentation.
• Excellent communication and proactive approach.
• Ability to manage responsibilities across multiple project stages.

Responsibilities

• Producing feasibility studies, detailed design work, calculations and technical documentation.
• Collaborating with clients and multidisciplinary design teams.
• Supporting clients and stakeholders during project implementation including design assurance and reviews.
• Responding to site-related queries and involvement in testing and commissioning from a design perspective.
• Working effectively within multidisciplinary project teams.
