Job summary

Aldwych Consulting, a longstanding building services consultancy, is recruiting a Senior Electrical Engineer to lead electrical design across diverse projects in the UK. The role spans HV/LV infrastructure, lighting, containment and collaboration with multi-disciplinary teams.

You will mentor junior engineers and contribute to a varied workload including data centres. The position offers a salary of £75,000-£80,000 depending on experience, plus excellent benefits.

Qualifications

• Significant experience in building-services or MEP consultancy environments.
• Strong electrical design experience across commercial or complex building projects.
• Knowledge of electrical distribution, lighting and related systems.
• Experience producing calculations, specifications, technical reports and design drawings.
• Ability to manage own workload and take project ownership.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to liaise with clients and teams.
• A proactive, collaborative approach and commitment to development.

Responsibilities

• Lead and deliver electrical engineering design across building-services projects.
• Produce detailed electrical designs, specs, calculations, drawings and reports.
• Work on HV/LV distribution, lighting, small power and related systems.
• Contribute to data centres and other technically demanding environments.
• Coordinate electrical designs with mechanical, public health and other disciplines.
• Liaise with clients, contractors, architects and design consultants.
• Attend design meetings and drive projects from concept to completion.
• Review technical information, resolve design issues, ensure compliant solutions.
• Support and mentor junior engineers and grow the team.
