Job summary

Advanced Resource Managers Ltd. is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer for a permanent role based in Ampthill. You will work with a market-leading Defence and Aerospace company and contribute to design from concept to completion under a phase-gate process.

The role requires formal electrical qualifications (HNC/HND/BEng), experience in electrical hardware design for harsh environments, and proficiency with Windchill or similar PLM tools. Offering up to £62,000 per year.

Qualifications

• Experience of Electrical Hardware Design & Electrical Product Development for Harsh Environments
• Electrical analysis of derating, stress, and tolerance
• EMC Awareness at product and circuit level
• Awareness of Def-Stan/Mil Standards, Safety, and Quality processes
• Experience of working with lab test equipment, e.g. debug of Electrical circuits
• Experience of Windchill or other Product Lifecycle Management tool

Responsibilities

• Reporting to the Design Team Lead
• Take responsibility for elements of the design and development of mixed electrical/electronic solutions from concept to completion following a detailed phase-gate development process
• Facilitate the development of functional and physical design requirements to ensure complete integrated design architecture following a detailed phase-gate development process
• Produce technical documentation to support all activities, from trade studies, requirements documentation, compliance evidence, and test documentation
• Design and develop electrical/electronic sub-assemblies for low and high-power DC systems
• Analyse, test, and evaluate electrical circuits, components, and protection of harnesses

You will be involved in:

• EMC Awareness at product and circuit level

• Experience of working with lab test equipment,e.g. debug of Electrical circuits
• Experience of Windchill or other Product Lifecycle Management tool
