Job summary

Egis is expanding its UK Water team and seeking an experienced Lead Electrical / EICA Engineer to shape major water and wastewater projects across the UK. You will lead multidisciplinary design delivery, supervise technical outputs and collaborate with clients and stakeholders in a fast‑growing, high‑visibility environment.

Qualifications

• BEng/MEng or equivalent in a relevant engineering discipline.
• Chartered Engineer or Incorporated Engineer status with a relevant professional institution.
• Typically 7-10+ years’ relevant experience in water/wastewater or utilities design.
• Proven ability to act as discipline lead or senior technical lead.
• Strong technical expertise with ability to review complex design outputs.
• Solid understanding of UK water industry standards and CDM 2015.

Responsibilities

• Lead discipline design delivery on multidisciplinary water/wastewater projects.
• Act as discipline technical lead on projects with key decisions and risk control.
• Review and approve calculations, specs, reports, and drawings.
• Coordinate interfaces across Process, Mechanical, EICA, and civil/structural inputs.
• Lead technical workshops, value engineering, and design reviews.
• Promote lean, digitally enabled delivery using modelling and data analysis.
• Provide technical assurance and support project managers on risk and scope.
• Mentor engineers and support recruitment and development.
• Contribute to bids, client engagement and growth of the discipline.
