Job summary

STACK Infrastructure in the United Kingdom seeks a Senior Electrical Design Manager to define and govern electrical standards for its European Reference Design. You will shape resilience, capacity modelling, grid interface strategy, and power distribution across mission-critical data centre developments.

This role balances technical leadership with commercial insight for hyperscale environments. You will lead platform-level governance, review consultant designs, and drive roadmaps for future

Qualifications

• Significant experience in mission-critical, hyperscale data centres or equivalent.
• Expertise with MV/LV distribution, generator and UPS topology, and resilience.
• Ability to model capacity, load, and grid interfaces for scalable designs.
• Experience reviewing complex consultant designs and providing senior technical guidance.
• Familiarity with multi-region governance, standards, and documentation.

Responsibilities

• Own and maintain electrical architecture within STACK's European Reference Design.
• Define resilience models and ensure scalable power distribution standards.
• Validate capacity assumptions including MVA to MW conversions and load growth.
• Provide technical oversight at design gates and challenge consultant designs.
• Shape grid and infrastructure strategy, including utility connections and substations.
• Support due diligence by assessing power availability and infrastructure risks.
• Approve deviations from electrical standards and lead high-risk reviews.
• Develop roadmaps for higher rack densities and energy efficiency evolution.
• Collaborate with commercial, development, and engineering teams on CapEx drivers.
• Develop and maintain engineering standards, Basis of Design inputs, QA checklists.
