Job summary

Fyba Talent represents an engineering consultancy recruiting a Senior Electrical Design Engineer for water sector projects. You will manage the quality and technical aspects of electrical designs, produce LV/HV designs and lead CAD technicians, graduates and junior designers, ensuring compliant design packages and timely delivery.

The role requires around 10 years in the water industry, a graduate or HND, and active registration with a professional body with progression towards chartership.

Qualifications

• 10 years' relevant design experience in the water industry.
• Significant experience in LV design.
• Graduate qualification or HND.
• Good level of IT capability.
• Registered with a professional body and working towards chartership.

Responsibilities

• Provide design deliverables that satisfy safety and quality requirements.
• Produce electrical design calculations and drawings for the water industry.
• Direct and develop CAD technicians, junior designers and graduates.
• Prepare scopes for, direct and check the output of subcontract electrical design teams.
• Liaise with equipment suppliers and manufacturers.
• Prepare design investigations, reports and specifications.
• Ensure designs comply with relevant technical, professional and group standards.
• Ensure project changes affecting design packages are fully implemented and recorded.
• Estimate the hours required for design packages.
• Present and attend design presentations and project meetings.
