Job summary

Water Ltd is seeking a Senior Electrical Design Engineer to manage the quality and technical aspects of electrical design packages for the water industry. The role involves delivering compliant designs, supporting junior members of the design team, and coordinating with subcontractors and suppliers.

You will ensure safety and quality requirements are met, perform calculations and drawings, and lead design reviews and meetings.

Qualifications

• 10 years' relevant design experience in the water industry.
• Significant experience in LV design.
• Graduate qualification or HND.
• Registered with a professional body and working towards chartership.

Responsibilities

• Provide design deliverables that satisfy safety and quality requirements.
• Produce electrical design calculations and drawings for the water industry.
• Direct and develop CAD technicians, junior designers and graduates.
• Prepare scopes for, direct and check the output of subcontract electrical design teams.
• Liaise with equipment suppliers and manufacturers.
• Prepare design investigations, reports and specifications.
• Ensure designs comply with relevant technical, professional and group standards.
• Ensure project changes affecting design packages are fully implemented and recorded.
• Estimate the hours required for design packages.
• Present and attend design presentations and project meetings.
