Job summary

White Label Recruitment Ltd is seeking a Senior Electrical Design Engineer for an established Leeds-based engineering and manufacturing business. You will take responsibility for electrical content of projects, developing designs and specifications for control systems used in bespoke heavy equipment.

You'll collaborate with design, production, procurement, installation and commissioning teams, liaising with customers and suppliers to meet technical, cost and programme targets.

Qualifications

• Experience in electrical design for control systems.
• Drawing office experience.
• Knowledge of BS EN 13849 and 61508 safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Develop electrical designs and specifications for control systems.
• Take responsibility for the electrical engineering content of projects.
• Coordinate site, application and design engineering resources.
• Manage technical project requirements against cost, quality and programme targets.
• Work closely with production, procurement, installation and commissioning teams.
• Support the design and application of low-voltage motor speed control systems.
• Work with relay logic and machinery safety systems.
• Produce and review electrical design documentation.
• Liaise with customers, suppliers and engineering representatives.
• Attend customer sites when required.
• Develop a working understanding of relevant industry standards.
