Job summary

Automation Experts Ltd. invites an Electrical Design Engineer to lead the electrical design of bespoke machinery in West Yorkshire. You will design control panels and systems, create detailed schematics, and select components, ensuring integrated solutions with mechanical teams.

Opportunity to develop PLC programming knowledge, with hybrid/flexible working options after probation. Requires experience in panel design and strong documentation skills.

Qualifications

• Experience in electrical industrial control panel design.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD Electrical or willingness to transition from AutoCAD.
• Strong understanding of control panels, schematics and component selection.

Responsibilities

• Design electrical control panels and systems for bespoke machinery.
• Produce detailed electrical schematics using AutoCAD Electrical.
• Select and specify electrical and electronic components for control panels.
• Produce BOMs and support procurement activities.
• Collaborate with mechanical and project teams for integrated design solutions.
• Occasional site visits (limited travel) and potential PLC programming development.
