Job summary

Pertemps is recruiting a Senior/Principal Electrical Design Engineer to join its Nottingham office. Hybrid/flexible working is offered, with a salary between £50,000 and £65,000. The role focuses on delivering electrical building services across defence, justice, and public sectors in the UK.

You will lead projects, mentor engineers and ensure designs comply with Building Regulations and CIBSE guidance. SC clearance may be required depending on projects.

Qualifications

• Degree or Master in Electrical or Building Services Engineering.
• Chartered Engineer status or working towards Chartership.
• Membership of CIBSE, IET or equivalent professional body.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and delivery of electrical building services projects.
• Produce calculations, specifications, reports and drawings.
• Manage projects from feasibility through construction and completion.
• Meet clients to develop briefs, budgets and technical solutions.
• Prepare tender documentation and review contractor submissions.
• Mentor junior engineers and manage workloads.
