Stantec is seeking an Electrical Design Engineer to contribute to complex HV/EHV projects across the UK energy sector, from feasibility to commissioning. You will work within a multidisciplinary team, delivering design solutions for a range of assets including substations, transmission lines, and control systems.

Your leadership will influence project outcomes and mentor junior engineers. You will bring Chartered or Incorporated status, strong UK regulatory knowledge, and a proven track record

Qualifications

• Chartered or Incorporated Engineer status with the IET (preferred).
• Experience in the energy sector with voltages from 132kV to 400kV.
• Ability to produce and interpret electrical design documentation (SLDs, block diagrams, load schedules, specs).
• Experience undertaking electrical calculations, sizing and fault level analysis.
• Familiarity with UK standards, regulations and design practices.
• Confidence presenting technical information and participating in design reviews/workshops.
• Strong communication and collaboration across teams and with clients.

Responsabilités

• Lead electrical design delivery on HV/EHV projects across the full lifecycle.
• Deliver designs for generators, control/instrumentation, protection, substations and transmission infra.
• Collaborate with civil, mechanical and other teams for integrated solutions.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers.
• Support delivery of sustainable, compliant and fit-for-purpose solutions.
