Job summary

Ansible Motion is seeking a Senior Engineer - Electrical Design to own the electrical design of simulator subsystems and lead technical workstreams from concept through to customer-site delivery. The role sits in the Technical - Electrical Design department, with travel worldwide to support builds and commissioning.

You will mentor engineers, develop CAD drawings and BOMs, and work closely with purchasing and other departments.

Qualifications

• Relevant engineering qualification or equivalent industry experience gained through a combination of education, apprenticeship or practical engineering experience.
• Minimum five years’ experience working in an engineering environment.
• Experience delivering complex engineering projects or technical workstreams.
• Experience providing technical guidance, coaching or mentoring to other engineers.
• Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office suite of products.
• Knowledge of, or experience working within, the automotive or motorsport sectors.

Responsibilities

• Own the electrical design of simulator subsystems (e.g., Cabin, Access system, Motion Stages) from concept to delivery.
• Lead assigned electrical engineering projects and workstreams to meet requirements, quality and timelines.
• Develop testing procedures and provide technical guidance for validation and commissioning.
• Perform design testing, commissioning and validation activities.
• Provide technical direction and support to engineers; share knowledge and problem-solve.
• Develop 2D block diagrams using CAD and produce drawings, BOMs, part lists.
• Collaborate with purchasing on part costings and update 2D CAD as needed.
• Work with other departments and suppliers; mentor EDES engineers and support capability development.
• Support Chief Designer/Technical Director with reviews and improvements; travel worldwide as needed.
