Job summary

Ansible Motion in Norwich, UK is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer to own the design of simulator subsystems from concept to release. You will develop 2D and 3D CAD models, produce drawings, BOMs, and coordinate with senior engineers to ensure manufacturability and cost effectiveness.

Travel to supplier sites may be required, and you will mentor junior engineers while coordinating with cross‑functional teams to meet project timelines.

Responsibilities

• Own the mechanical design of simulator subsystems from concept to release.
• Develop and update 2D/3D CAD designs and drawings.
• Produce BOMs, part lists and specifications.
• Engage with senior engineers to ensure manufacturability and cost effectiveness.
• Collaborate with purchasing and suppliers on costings.
• Support testing, validation and commissioning activities.
• Travel to suppliers or other sites as required.
