Vantage Consulting Limited is seeking an Electrical Design Engineer in Maidstone, offering a 3-day office week. The role focuses on electrical/EICA design, creating SLDs, cable runs, and coordination with project managers.

The ideal candidate has at least 3 years' experience in electrical/EICA design, holds HNC/HND or a related degree, and is proficient with Trimble/Amtech, ACAD-E, 2D/3D CAD, and Microsoft Office. Water-industry experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• 3 years' experience in electrical/EICA design.
• HNC/HND or degree desirable.
• Experience in electrical/EICA systems design (SLD, cable schedules, calculations).

Electrical Design Engineer

Maidstone - 3 days a week in the office

Job responsibilities:

• Producing electrical designs using project specifications, standard requirements, outline scopes of work, and/or site investigations
• Innovate, challenge, and consider continuous improvement across projects and designs
• Assisting less technical team members with the specification of technical plant and machinery
• Liaison with project managers and commercial teams
• Attending site, both during and after projects
• Producing and carrying out technical presentations during client visits and
• meetings.

Requirements

• 3 years' experience working in an electrical/EICA design role.
• Relevant engineering qualification such as HNC, HND, or (a degree is desirable)
• Experience in:

• Electrical / EICA systems design (Single Line Diagrams, Block Cable Diagrams, Cable Schedules, Cable Schedules, Cable Calculations)
• Cable Calculation Software Experience (Trimble/Amtech)
• MEICA Schedule Generation (Load, Equipment, Instrument, Valve)
• Termination Drawings/Connection Drawings Experience
• Site general arrangement design, 2D and/or 3D
• Design project coordination
• Chemical dosing
• Water quality monitoring

• Autodesk 2D and/or 3D CAD packages (ACAD-E)
• Using Microsoft packages
• Desirable water industry-based design experience.
