Job summary

Vantage Consulting Limited in Maidstone is seeking an Electrical Design Engineer to deliver robust electrical designs for MEICA projects. You will produce SLDs, cable calculations, and 2D/3D CAD layouts, while coordinating with project managers and the commercial team.

This role requires a minimum of three years in electrical/EICA design, a relevant qualification (HNC/HND or degree desirable), and willingness to work three days in the office weekly.

Qualifications

• 3 years' experience in electrical/EICA design.
• HNC, HND or degree desirable.
• Experience in Electrical/EICA systems design (SLD, block diagrams, cable schedules).
• Cable calculation software experience (Trimble/Amtech).
• MEICA schedule generation (Load, Equipment, Instrument, Valve).
• Termination/connection drawings experience.
• 2D/3D CAD (Autodesk ACAD-E).
• Site visits and design coordination.
• Water industry design experience desirable.

Responsibilities

• Producing electrical designs using project specifications, standard requirements, outline scopes of work, and/or site investigations.
• Innovate, challenge, and consider continuous improvement across projects and designs.
• Assisting less technical team members with the specification of technical plant and machinery.
• Liaison with project managers and commercial teams.
• Attending site, both during and after projects.
• Producing and carrying out technical presentations during client visits and.
