A leading engineering firm is seeking a Senior Electrical Design Engineer to work on cutting-edge electrical systems for a new type of power station. This role involves delivering an industry leading, cutting edge design project for a new type of power station and providing technical expertise across the lifecycle of Electrical Systems for the SMR nuclear power plant. It covers the complete design of the Electrical systems, spanning system architecture, sub–system design and equipment specification and design/selection to realise the final verified design of the power station. You will work closely with the engineering teams from across the power station and apply a structured systems engineering approach to design.
As we strive to find the best fit for this position, we are seeking individuals with a minimum level of experience, training, and qualification. We will consider strong candidates who meet around 75% of the requirements.
You'll bring a strong background in electrical engineering and a proven ability to work across the full design lifecycle – from specification through to installation, commissioning, and maintenance of safety–critical electrical systems.
We anticipate paying a salary of between GBP48,000 – GBP62,500 (DOE) plus:
