Qualifications

• Experience as an electrical designer.
• Relevant engineering qualifications in Electrical Design or STEM.
• Ability to obtain UK National Security Vetting status.

• Produce 3D models of electrical systems and equipment integration.
• Develop electrical schematics and system diagrams.
• Liaise with stakeholders and mentor team members.

Job description

Job title: Senior Electrical CAD Designer
Job Type: Permanent
Start date: Subject to Clearance
Salary Range: Up to 40,000 Per Annum
Benefits Package: 26 Days Holiday + Bank Holidays, Pension Scheme - 6-8% Matched, Flexible start & Finish times.
Location: Barrow-In-Furness
Hybrid Working Available: 2 Days on Site every 2 Weeks 4 Days Per Month
Hours of work: 37 Hours Per Week + Overtime Available (Double time for anything able two hours)

Role & Responsibilities:
Produce 3D models of electrical systems and equipment integration
Produce 3D models of electrical routed systems and electrical equipment integration such as switchboards and power units
Develop electrical schematics and system diagrams
Produce drawings and electronic data to support manufacturing, installation and testing
Liaise with stakeholders and other design teams to ensure customer requirements are understood and met
Mentor other team members where required

Qualifications/Experience Required:
Relevant apprenticeship, engineering qualification or experience as an electrical designer
HNC, ONC or degree in relevant STEM subject
Experience in electrical compartment integration
Knowledge and understanding of electrical routed systems in the 2D and 3D level
Understanding of CAD tools and methodologies

UK National Security Vetting Status - All candidates must be able to obtain UKSV SC Clearance.
