Job description

We are one of the UKs leading Commercial Vehicle Body Builders, we are currently seeking to recruit a full time CAD designer to join our busy team.

Your Duties Will Include

• Working collaboratively with our Sales & Production departments to produce 2D and 3D drawings and provide day-to-day technical support.
• Create part numbers, BoMs, assembly instructions, and visual aids for production teams.
• Implement engineering changes and supplier/customer change requests.
• Consult with 3rd party manufacturers sending out dxf/step files and drawings.
• Budget and costing control.
• Identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities.
• Maintain Bodybuilding guidelines from OMs
• Manage the approval process for samples of new products and product revisions.
• Maintain Company ISO standards.
• Possess effective communication skills and an eye for detail.
  
  

Person Specification

• Experienced in Autocad/Inventor
• Previous experience in a similar industry.
• Proven ability to work within a fast paced, evolving and demanding environment.
• High attention level to detail and work in a methodical, organised manner.
• Experience with Trailerwin is preferable but not essential.
