Job summary

Mott MacDonald is seeking a Senior Electrical Building Services Engineer for its Energy unit, Defence and Civil division. You will lead electrical design delivery for new and refurbishment projects, work within multidisciplinary teams, and ensure technically excellent, compliant solutions across UK and Europe.

You will produce design documents, perform calculations, support bids, and collaborate with Clients and specialists to meet project timelines in a highly regulated environment.

Qualifications

• Have sound engineering knowledge of electrical building services design principles.
• Be proactive, self-motivated and able to make decisions.
• Communicate effectively with Clients and team members.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of applicable regulations and standards.
• Experience using Dialux, Relux, Trimble MEP Designer Suite and AutoCAD.
• BIM knowledge and 3D design experience is beneficial.
• Degree in Building Services (Electrical biased) or Electrical Engineering.
• Chartered Engineer registration and professional-body membership.

Responsibilities

• Lead management and delivery of electrical building services design solutions.
• Produce and review design documents, basis of design, specs, surveys.
• Develop project layout drawings, single line diagrams and calculations.
• Support bids with estimates, schedules, and cost guidance.
• Ensure compliance with CDM, Building Regulations and sustainability targets.
• Attend meetings across multi-discipline projects and liaise with Clients.
