ESP Utilities Group in Leatherhead is seeking an ambitious Design Team Lead with strong HV and LV network design knowledge. You will lead a team of Design Engineers across Gas, Water and Electric, ensuring design standards, safety compliance and effective liaison with customers and upstream partners.

The role requires mentoring junior staff, driving process improvements and maintaining ESP’s asset management practices within a hybrid work model with at least two days in the Leatherhead office.

Qualifikationen

• Experience in LV & HV electricity network design and ability to use IT-based design software (WinDebut, IPSA).
• Good understanding of 2D CAD drawing.
• Full working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
• Flexible and adaptable approach to working.

Aufgaben

• Manage a team of Design Engineers across Gas, Water, and Electric classes.
• Ensure compliance with design, construction, and safety standards; follow ESP assurance process.
• Liaise with customers on network design issues to ensure policy compliance.
• Manage connections on ESP networks and assess reinforcement requirements.
• Oversee relationships with upstream parties for capacity and demand negotiations.
• Support adherence to Health & Safety and Asset Management policies.
• Contribute to reviews and updates of procedures and standards.
• Mentor and develop team members to advance their careers.
