Job summary

Timely Recruit Ltd is hiring a Lead HV Design Engineer to join a major UK multi-utility group in Surrey. You will lead engineers, review and design high-voltage networks up to 132 kV, and shape the grid connections strategy across electricity and related utilities.

This hybrid role offers 2–3 days in the office, a clear progression path, and exposure to WinDebut, IPSA and VisNet tools. Ideal candidates will have a background in DNO/IDNO or utility consultancy and a track record of delivering

• Proven leadership/management capability.

Surrey | Hybrid – 2–3 days in office

up to £80,000 + bonus

We’re hiring a Lead HV Design Engineer to join one of the UK’s largest independent multi-utility businesses.

With 1.1m+ adopted utility connections, 26 years of trading, 2026 NAV of the Year recognition and continued growth across electricity, gas, water, heat and EV infrastructure, this is a business with real momentum in the UK utilities market.

You’ll join a lean design team with genuine influence, leading engineers and reviewing and designing complex HV networks up to 132kV.
