Job summary

TRS Consulting Services Limited is seeking an experienced Electrical Instrumentation Controls & Automation Engineer to join a global water treatment leader in Birmingham. You will manage all EICA aspects on municipal/industrial projects, including MCCs, cabling, control software, and instrumentation; site visits and client meetings form part of the role.

Responsibilities

Procure MCCs, cabling and electrical equipment; systems integration and instrumentation.
Produce load and instrument schedules; write equipment specifications.
Develop URS following process design consultation.
Review sub-contractor drawings and specs vs client/VWT specs.
Conduct detailed technical bid evaluations of quotations.
Perform FATs for switchboard, MCC and PLC/HMI software.
Conduct inspections and tests on electrical equipment.
Oversee EICA design aspects of installation and commissioning.
Visit sites for client meetings and occasional installation supervision.
Support tendering department in all EICA aspects.
Report on EICA progress against budget and programme.
Ensure all activities comply with QA procedures.
