Job summary

TRS Consulting Services Limited is recruiting an EICA Electrical Instrumentation Controls & Automation Engineer for Water Treatment Systems in the UK. The role focuses on procurement of MCC, cabling, systems integration, instrumentation, and equipment selection.

You will develop URS, review sub-contractor drawings, conduct FATs, and supervise installations on-site, with a strong emphasis on safety and QA.

Qualifications

• Experience with MCC procurement, cabling and systems integration.
• Proficient in developing user requirements specifications (URS).
• Knowledge of FATs for switchgear, MCC and PLC/HMI software.
• Experience inspecting and testing electrical equipment.

Responsibilities

• Understand and scope EICA design aspects for installation and commissioning.
• Review sub-contractor drawings against client and project specifications.
• Support tendering in all EICA aspects.
• Report on EICA progress against budget and schedule.
• Ensure safety compliance and QA procedures are followed.

The Role – Electrical Instrumentation Controls & Automation Engineer, Water Treatment Systems

This market-leader is looking for a highly skilled and motivated Electrical Instrumentation Controls and Automation Engineer.

Your Background – Electrical Instrumentation Controls & Automation Engineer

• Technical aspects for procurement of MCC, cabling, systems integration, process instrumentation, and electrical equipment


• Produce load & instrument schedules, equipment specifications


• Develop software user requirements specifications (URS) following process design consultation


• Review sub-contractor drawings and specifications against client & VWT specifications


• Conduct detailed technical bid evaluations of quotations


• Conduct FATs for switchboard, MCC and PLC/HMI software


• Conduct inspections & tests for electrical equipment


• Responsible for EICA design aspects of installation & commissioning


• Visit sites for client meetings and occasional installation supervision


• Help tendering department in all EICA aspects


• Report internally on EICA aspects against budget and programme


• Ensure all activities are carried out safely and in line with QA procedures
