Job summary

Jacobs is seeking a Principal EIA Consultant to shape the UK's future, leading environmental assessment and consenting workstreams for major infrastructure, water, energy and environmental projects across the UK and Ireland.

You will influence decisions from early stages, help clients navigate environmental challenges, secure consents, and deliver sustainable development responsibly within a hybrid working model.

Qualifications

• Proven experience delivering Environmental Impact Assessments (EIA) on infrastructure projects.
• Strong knowledge of environmental assessment methodologies and UK environmental legislation.
• Experience with UK planning and consenting frameworks (DCO, Town & Country Planning).
• Professional membership or chartership with IES, ISEP or CIWEM, or willingness to pursue.

Responsibilities

• Lead environmental assessment and consenting workstreams.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary project teams and provide strategic advice to clients.
• Build trusted client relationships and mentor emerging talent.
