Job summary

Jacobs seeks a Principal EIA Consultant to lead environmental assessment and consenting workstreams for major UK and Ireland projects. You will coordinate multi-disciplinary project teams, provide strategic advice to clients on environmental challenges for infrastructure, water, energy, and development programs.

This role offers hybrid working, a path to senior leadership, and opportunities to shape project strategy and client outcomes within a global consultancy.

Qualifications

• Proven experience delivering Environmental Impact Assessments (EIA) and environmental coordination on infrastructure projects.
• Strong knowledge of environmental assessment methodologies and UK environmental legislation.
• Experience working within UK planning and consenting frameworks, including DCO, Town & Country Planning, or similar regimes.
• Professional membership or chartership with a relevant institution (such as IES, ISEP or CIWEM), or a plan to achieve this with our support.
• Degree or master's qualification in a relevant environmental, planning or scientific discipline, or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead environmental assessment and consenting workstreams across multidisciplinary teams.
• Coordinate project teams, provide strategic client advice, and drive successful outcomes.
• Guide projects from feasibility and strategy through to consent, delivery and implementation.
• Build trusted client relationships and mentor emerging talent.
