Job summary

Huntsman seeks an experienced EHS Manager for its Duxford site in the UK. You will lead EHS strategy, manage systems, ensure compliance with EHS legislation and COMAH, and partner with shop floor teams and senior leaders to embed a Zero Harm culture.

You will report to the site SLT, drive incident investigations, improvements, and collaborate with Huntsman EHS colleagues across the UK. The role offers a competitive salary and broad benefits.

Qualifications

• University degree in a related discipline with NEBOSH Diploma.
• Strong knowledge of EHS legislation in manufacturing environments.
• Experience with Environment Agency, HSE or regulatory authorities.
• Experience or training in Process Safety.
• Knowledge of EHS management systems, including ISO 14001.
• Experience with Root Cause Investigation and related techniques.
• Excellent communication and collaboration across levels, from shop floor to senior leadership.

Responsibilities

• Represent the site on EHS matters with regulatory bodies and third parties.
• Lead EHS Management System and drive strategy, improvements, and best practices.
• Ensure compliance with EHS legislation and site COMAH requirements.
• Support Process Safety activities, including HAZOPs, risk assessments, and investigations.
• Lead site inspections, audits, and maintain EHS standards across operations.
• Report and investigate accidents, incidents and near misses; identify trends and actions.
• Promote safe behaviours and Huntsman’s Zero Harm culture.
• Oversee environmental matters and effluent treatment.
• Support emergency preparedness, fire protection, and occupational hygiene monitoring.
• Develop and manage the EHS training plan and supervise EHS staff.
• Collaborate with UK EHS professionals to align practices and improvements.
• Remain close to day-to-day operations and contribute hands-on when needed.
