Job summary

Star Academies in Preston seeks a Vice Principal - Quality of Education to provide instructional leadership and support to the Principal. You will help shape the curriculum, teaching and learning policies, and ensure a strong focus on student achievement through data and benchmarks.

You will develop transition from primary to secondary, keep parents informed about progress, and undertake duties on behalf of the Principal when needed.

Qualifications

• Must hold a degree-level qualification and QTS.
• Experience of senior leadership and management within a school setting.
• Proven track record delivering outstanding attainment and achievement.
• A strong commitment to the STAR values.

Responsibilities

• Provide instructional leadership and model the school’s vision and values.
• Develop and manage curriculum, teaching and learning policies.
• Use data and benchmarks to monitor progress for every student.
• Ensure effective transition from primary schools with curriculum continuity.
• Keep parents and students well informed about attainment and progress.
• Carry out duties delegated by the Principal and cover when absent.
