Job summary

Juniper Education is seeking a Senior HR Consultant to join the Education HR Services team. You will provide expert HR guidance across schools and academies, support leaders with complex casework, and help shape the HR services we offer.

The role requires strong education HR knowledge, employment law expertise, and the ability to manage high-profile matters. You will design and deliver high-quality HR training, lead significant HR projects, and ensure compliant employment practices.

Qualifications

• Significant experience in education HR with complex employee relations.
• In-depth knowledge of employment law and education-specific HR practices.
• Experience advising on complex, high-risk or high-profile employee relations matters.
• Experience creating and delivering HR training to varied audiences.
• Experience conducting HR audits and identifying risks and improvements.
• Strong stakeholder management, influencing and negotiation skills.
• Experience drafting and reviewing HR policies, contracts and guidance.
• Experience working with or within local authorities, academies or multi-academy trusts.
• Understanding of education pension schemes (LGPS, TPS).
• CIPD Level 5 qualification or equivalent (or working towards).

Responsibilities

• Provide expert HR advice to school and academy leaders, including guidance on complex employee relations.
• Lead on specialist HR matters including pay, terms and conditions, employment contracts, policy and employment law.
• Review and maintain model HR policies, procedures and guidance.
• Engage with external bodies and stakeholders, including unions and authorities.
• Design and deliver HR training, webinars and briefings.
• Manage customer relationships and engage senior leaders.
• Lead HR audits and offer practical risk-based improvements.
• Provide guidance to HR colleagues to ensure a high-quality service.
• Contribute to developing HR services and resources.
• Build strong customer relationships and promote service growth.
