Job summary

JCB is seeking a Senior EDS Engineer to lead the design and integration of electrical architectures for future products. You will work on high voltage systems, 12V–600V, and contribute to component selection and validation for harsh operating environments.

The role emphasizes CAD-driven wiring definitions, safety-critical design, and industry standards. A strong team player with hands-on experience is desired, with a competitive salary and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

Minimum HND in Electrical Engineering or related discipline.
Experience in off-highway or automotive electrical system design.
Proficient in electrical components and harness architectures for offroad applications.

Responsibilities

Designing and developing high voltage electrical systems for heavyduty vehicles (12V–600V).
Developing 12V and 24V electrical systems for standard vehicle applications.
Using CAD tools to define vehicle electrical wiring systems (Zuken E3 and Siemens NX preferred).
Supporting the definition and development of electrical and electronic system architecture.
Applying safetycritical design principles for offhighway electrical and electronic systems.
Specifying electrical and electronic components for vehicle applications.
Conducting testing and validation of electrical and electronic components and systems.
Producing technical specifications, group standards, and engineering instructions.
Carrying out system and installation reviews to established standards.
Setting up and maintaining development and validation rigs.
